Anuga is the largest food and drink exhibition in Germany. In its first 50 years, it was hosted by various German cities, but since 1951 it has been held every year at the Koelnmesse in Cologne. It is considered the largest in the world thanks to over 7000 exhibitors from all over the world and it is a reference point for other exhibitions in the sector.

It is divided into 10 specialist sectors that cover all segments of the food market: delicatessen, frozen food and ice cream, fresh food, meat, dairy products, bread, organic food and hot and cold drinks. At Anuga there is also space for technology and discover the equipment make work easier for food professionals.

With the Matchmaking365 tool, visitors to the exhibition can contact exhibitors to agree meetings or get answers to specific questions. This is how Anuga improves the quality of networking throughout the year as it continues to be available between exhibitions, hence the 365 in its name.

Across its five days, Anuga hosts innovations in the food industry that are presented the decision-makers and seminars and other events are organised that reveal future trends. Around 50 countries attend this fair, making it an international-scale opportunity that improves the image of exhibitors who have a stand there.

Anuga Prizes

The FoodTec international prizes are handed out at Anuga in cooperation with the German Agriculture Society (DLG in German) to recognise innovations of companies in the food maker and supplier sector. In addition, the German Chef and Baker of the year are voted for at the Culinary Concepts exhibition.
