FIMA is the International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition that is held every two years in the 11 pavilions of the Zaragoza Exhibition. Its international scope has made it a must for the agricultural sector in southern Europe. It’s an opportunity for networking and finding new working methods that can boos participants’ businesses.
Innovation and technology applied to the agricultural sector are the main topics of discussion over the 5 days of FIMA Agricultural. Visitors include farmers, cooperatives, importers and distributors, as well as researchers and government authorities. Everyone is keen to learn about new developments in agricultural machinery.
At FIMA Agricultural there is a demonstration area where visitors can see sowing, irrigation and collection machines, as well as tractors for transportation and storing the harvest. Advances in agriculture 4.0 are also present at FIMA, making it a good place for discovering technological innovations to optimise productivity in operations and make them more profitable.
The FIMA Technical Innovations contest gives out awards for machines or systems that improve the practicality of established procedures, the energy or environmental situation and working conditions. There are three categories: tractors and self-driven machines and energy; actuated machines and fixed and mobile installations; and agronomic management solutions. The winners exhibit in the innovation Gallery.
There is also a FIMA Excellence Award that recognises and encourages agricultural companies to contribute innovations that create an impact for their originality, practicality and results.
