The SIAL exhibition takes place in Paris Nord Villepinte every two years and has an international scope. It is dedicated to innovation in the food sector and is the largest in the world. It is a leading destination to find inspiration and a good way to get mentioned in the press as there are hundreds of accredited reporters present.
The best-represented sectors are dairy products, meat, frozen food, and sweet and savoury snacks. Across the 5 days of SIAL, there are cooking demonstrations for famous chefs at La Cuisine. The exhibition also has its own TV program, SIAL TV, which conducts interviews and round tables with leading participants.
SIAL is attended by large supermarket chefs and international award-winning chefs looking for products that will help them stand out in their respective markets. Inspiration is one of the values of this exhibition and the organisation encourages it by creating an environment that encourages the exchange of ideas.
Participation in the SIAL Innovation area is growing all the time, making it an ideal place for identifying new consumer trends and tastes. The best products are recognised at the SIAL Innovation Awards, which are given during the exhibition. In addition to the 3 main prizes, they are also given to alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, dairy products, sweet and savoury snacks, delicatessen, fruits and vegetables, fish and seafood, frozen produce and meat.

SIAL around the world

The SIAL Network organises 7 food exhibitions. As well as Paris, it is also present in Montreal, Toronto, Abu Dhabi, Jakarta, New Delhi and Shanghai, also every two years, so there are always opportunities to visit one of them. The bi-monthly magazine SIAL THINK TANK is another way in which it encourages creativity, thanks to the experience and information found at exhibitions around the world.
