CPhI stops off in Spain: Barcelona is chosen for its 2016 edition following this year’s Madrid edition.

CPhI, the most important fair for professionals from the pharmaceuticals sector, has chosen Spain for the next two editions. The fair, which will hold its next global edition in Madrid in October, will then move on to another Spanish city, Barcelona, for its 2016 edition.

The fair, showcasing ingredients, chemical products, equipment and solutions for the handling of medicines, is held every year in a European city, and brings together the most important laboratories from the pharmaceuticals sector. CPhI obtains record figures at each annual fair, with around 2,200 exhibitors, and over 36,000 visitors from 140 countries. With the decision to hold it in Barcelona in 2016, the fair has departed from its usual change of country, which up to now meant alternating the event between Paris, Madrid and Frankfurt.

For Antoni Bononad, general manager of Publiverd, “this news is a huge opportunity for Spanish companies from the pharmaceuticals sector, as for two years running they will have the biggest world trade fair in their business area in their own country”.

“The proximity of Publiverd, with its headquarters in Barcelona, and the experience gained from previous editions of the fair with major clients such as Labialfarma, Micromazinacione and Piramal, make us the ideal strategic partner for both Spanish and international companies who will attend the fair”, he added.

CPhI is one of the fairs at which Publiverd, one of the leading companies in the design and installation of stands in Europe, has a long history with international clients, both with respect to the number of projects and with respect to relevance from a design perspective. Now the fact that the next two editions of this important international fair are happening in Spain will allow Publiverd clients to take advantage of economies of scale in their fair planning.
