Upcoming fairs which should not be missed

Which fairs should not be missed in the next few months? Publiverd, a leading company in Europe in the design and installation of stands, chooses the main fairs from various sectors which will take place in Europe in the months of February, March, April and May.

Sicur – Sicur – Madrid, 23 to 26 February

The International Safety and Security Fair (Sicur) returns to the facilities of the return to the Madrid Trade Fair Centre from 23 to 26 February. The fair has become one of the most significant professional events on the European calendar, and a benchmark fair capable of bringing together all areas which make up the integrated security and safety sector. The fair enjoys the collaboration of the Spanish Association of Security Companies (AES), the Association of Private Security Services Companies (APROSER), the Association of Personal Protection Equipment Companies (ASEPAL), and the Spanish Association of Fire Protection Companies (AESPI), and according to the Ifema forecast, it will grow by 20% to 130 direct exhibitors.

Mobile World Congress – Barcelona, 22 to 25 February

Barcelona once again holds the Mobile World Congress, from 22 to 25 February. The world communications event attracts visitors from around the world who are interested in information technology, entertainment, financial services, and the mobile industry. Every year the Mobile World Congress seminars attract key speakers, companies and visitors from all parts of the world, and from all segments of the mobile market. At its 2016 edition, the Mobile World Congress will have top executives from companies such as AT&T, China Mobile, Cisco, Ericsson, Facebook, Huawei or PayPal, among others.

Propet – Madrid, 3 to 5 March

Propet is the benchmark fair in Spain for the pet sector; a key meeting place for the veterinary channel, and companies providing products, accessories, food and nutrition for animals, the specialist trade and the pet professional. The fair organised by Ifema, with a confirmed participation of over one hundred exhibitors, offers a fair concept made for and to the specifications of the pet sector.

SMAGUA – Zaragoza, 8 to 11 March

In March the Zaragoza Trade Fair will hold the 22nd edition of the International Water and Irrigation Fair (Smagua), a fair which brings together professionals, technicians, and public employees involved in the water industry. The aim of the fair is to see and discuss the latest advances in the management of water resources and water treatment, in addition to seeing the latest developments in the supply, storage, treatment and transport of water, and cover environmental, matters such as waste management, energy efficiency, and the protection of water resources. At its last edition, Smagua brought together 754 mainly international exhibitors.

In-cosmetics – Paris, 12 to 14 April

In-Cosmetic is an itinerant fair, organized by Reed Exhibitions, which specializes in personal care products. At its 2016 edition, the fair took place at the Puerta de Versalles venue, in Paris. At its last edition the fair attracted 708 exhibitors and over 8,500 visitors, covering a total area of 14,692 square metres. In addition to the exhibition, the In-cosmetics fair has a program of seminars covering topics of interest to the sector, from regulation to marketing and science, addressing aspects such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, and skin ageing.

Alimentaria – Barcelona, 25 to 28 April

The International Food and Drink Fair (Alimentaria) will hold its 2016 edition from 25 to 28 April at the Gran Via de Fira venue, in Barcelona. Alimentaria is one of the most important fairs in the world in this sector. Since its first edition in 1976, it has experienced continuous growth in both visitors and exhibitors, which now reach over 140,000 visitors and 3,800 exhibitors from all over the world.

Vitafoods Europe – Geneva, 10 to 12 May

Vitafoods is the most important international fair in Europe for nutraceutical products. The fair, which will take place in May in the Swiss city of Geneva, attracts over 500 exhibitors and more than 10,000 visitors from around the world. Vitafoods shows off new developments in the industry in the areas of nutraceuticals, and functional foods and drinks.

Denim Première Vision – Barcelona, 18 and 19 May

Barcelona has become the permanent home of the Denim Premiere Vision fair, one of the most important world fairs for denim fabric. The fair, which will take place at the Montjuïc de Fira venue, in Barcelona, brings together around a hundred exhibitors from countries such as Turkey, Brazil, or Spain, and attracts between 3,000 and 5,000 visitors.
